Objective: This article aims to examine the relationship between patriarchal culture, gender relations, and social support in the lives of soldiers' wives. Method: The research uses a literature review method with a qualitative descriptive approach to various books, national and international scientific articles, as well as scientific documents that discuss patriarchal culture, gender, social support, and military family life. The analysis was carried out using content analysis techniques through the process of identification, selection, thematic grouping, and synthesis of previous research results. Results: The results of the study show that the lives of soldiers' wives are still influenced by patriarchal culture which is reflected in the pattern of senior-junior partner relationships, namely the husband is the main determinant of social status and family decision-making, while the wife plays the role of a companion who supports the success of the husband's career. This condition causes wives to face various demands, such as following the husband's mutation, sacrificing personal career development, running domestic burdens independently when the husband is on duty, and reduced emotional support. Therefore, strengthening communication, a fairer division of roles, and developing organizational policies that are responsive to gender equality are important in improving the quality of life of soldiers' families. Novelty: The culture of military organization, the mobility of assignments, and the demands of the roles inherent in husbands and wives greatly colored the life of military families. The influence of patriarchal culture and gender construction is also inseparable from military family life.
